Church and Civic Groups
It takes a village … Community Storehouse relies on local churches and community groups to help fulfill our mission and help children in our community. Over 6,000 local children will qualify for our services this year.
Join the mission of Community Storehouse:
- Encourage school and youth groups to volunteer and fulfill service requirements
- Include Community Storehouse information in weekly bulletins or newsletters
- Provide a link on your website to the Community Storehouse website
- Make Christmas cards and stockings for Holiday House children
- Have Pastors or prayer partners available at our Client Services office in Roanoke. Client Services is open to clients Monday-Thursday 9:30 AM-2:00 PM.
- Invite Community Storehouse to speak to your group about our programs
- Hold a fundraiser for Community Storehouse
- Donate non-perishable food items to the food pantry
- Volunteer your time
- Donate items for resale: clothing, household items and furniture
- Encourage small groups do a service project benefitting Community Storehouse
- Support us through planned-giving as a part of Benevolent and Mission programs
