Summer Lunch Program – Your group can organize a food drive and/or donate child friendly food items to the Community Storehouse for use in the Summer Lunch Program.

June
Summer Lunch Program – Donate child friendly food. Volunteers needed every Thursday from 2-5 to pack food boxes and from 5:15-8:30pm to pass out food boxes.
June 15 – July 3 – Camp Community Storehouse I – a reading enrichment program. Volunteers are needed as classroom assistants in reading, music and physical education. 8:30-12:30, M-F. Clean up crews needed from 12-12:30. Office copy volunteer needed two hours each day. Must be high school senior or older. Prefer commitment for all three weeks if possible.
Back to School Program – collecting shoe vouchers, backpacks and school supplies.
Lending Library – June 8 – August 20 – volunteers are needed from 9:30 am – 6pm in three hour shifts to assist children with book selections and to maintain reading log.
Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Dinner Event – Forming committees.
Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Auction Committee – Help us collect auction items for our annual fundraiser to be held in February.
July

Run in the Dark Packet Pickup – September -Volunteers are needed to register participants.
Run in the Dark – (Sept. 19, 2009) Annual 1-mile fun run and 5K run in Keller. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, working during the event, and clean-up. Mark your calendar to put together a run/walk group.

Make Thanksgiving holiday food boxes - Nov. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 (3-5pm)
Thanksgiving Food Distribution (Nov. 23, 7am-8:30pm) Join us by volunteering to hand out pre-boxed Thanksgiving dinner to clients.
Christmas Toy Drive – Organize a toy drive or donate new toys to the Community Storehouse for use in Holiday House.

Holiday House and Christmas Food Distribution – December 22 nd, 7am-8pm. Every year we create a “Toy Store” so that our clients can shop for their children and pick up a holiday food box.
January
Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Dinner - Address/Stamp Dinner Invitations - Volunteers are needed to help with stuffing, addressing, and stamping invitations to our annual dinner. Those addressing must have good penmanship. Finalizing other dinner preparations.

Help for Today…Hope for Tomorrow Dinner & Auction (February 27, 2010) – Volunteer are needed for planning, set-up, preparations, clean up. Auction donations are needed. Purchase tickets and attend.

Easter/Spring Celebration – Food and Easter Baskets are needed. Volunteers are needed to hand out food baskets for our client families. Hams are always needed.

Year Round Opportunities
- Ambassador Program – Be a spokes person for Community Storehouse by speaking to civic groups, churches, schools, and other groups
. - Volunteer at the Tarrant Area Food Bank *- Please mention that you are working on behalf of the Community Storehouse and we will receive credit on our account. You must be 16 or over, work in groups of at least 3 and work a minimum of 3 hours.
- Donate Food, Clothing, and/or Furniture
- Volunteer in our Resale Shop, Food Pantry, & Donations Center – Shifts are available Mon-Sat.
*You can support Community Storehouse by volunteering for Speedway Children’s’ Charities/Texas Motor Speedway. We benefit from grants given by this group each year. Be sure to tell them you are a Community Storehouse Volunteer.
